“I have raised, trained, showed and loved Tennessee Walking Horses (a gaited breed that doesn’t trot) for 37 years. In the 90s I showed my stallion, Praise Hallelujah, extensively. Like all horse athletes, by the time he was in his 20s he was showing signs of arthritis and wear and tear on muscles and ligaments. “I am delighted to share Starchy’s story with you… although I come out of it very badly! Starchy is a 23 year old, 16’ 2″ thoroughbred bright bay gelding, an ex-race horse.
