My 11 year old dog has diabetes and his glucose levels are always high never low. Glucose levels range between 225 and 350 even though we have started our 6th bottle of Dia-lonX this week and we started taking it in April of this year. I give him 1/2 teaspoonfull in the morning and in the evening with his food. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Our Vet has not put him on any special diet food. What do you think? Should we change his food? I have been feeding him Nutro Lite mixed with Nutro Senior (1/2 and 1/2 of each at each meal). Thanks, Elita

Dear Elita,

I think you should try a diet formulated for diabetes. In addition I would give digestive enzymes including pancreatic enzymes with each meal. Along with Dia-IonX, I also use MSM, probiotics, and fish oil. Add them in gradually so you can see how the body handles them. Please let me know what the response is.

Sincerely,
