Feline Hyperthyroidism

I have a wonderful 12 year old male cat. He is generally healthy and has been on Purina UR cat food for many years due to a reoccurring bladder stone issue. But recently he’s been showing signs of a thyroid disorder. He eats every bite of his food, we feed him twice a day canned chicken cat food or boil our own chicken plus he eats the hard UR food all day long. But he’s continued to lose weight. His urine output is good; since the scare with his bladder I know his routine and I listen by the cat box every morning! He still loves to settle into your lap for love. He still keeps himself relatively clean, and gets along quite well with the other cats (and dogs) in the household. I’ve read some of the side effects of the medication that is normally given to cats for hyperthyroidism and how sick it makes them.

Dia-Ionx and H20-Ionx for my Kitties

I have been using these two products for 35 days (half dose the 1st 25 days) on my 15yr. old Siamese and Oriental short hair. They are litter mates. Chauncey (Oriental) has had Diabetes off and on over the last 3 yrs. Three times it has lasted for 2 to 3 months and then his sugar levels off on Lantus.

Feline Diabetes

My cat was diagnosed last year with feline diabetes type 1. He was treated with PZI Vet insulin and did so well in a few months that the vet said I could take him off the insulin which I did. Lately I am noticing that he is urinating more and drinking more so it seems that the symptoms are back. Does that happen? Also he was on PZI Vet insulin and I just found out that it is not available any longer. I do not want to put him on human insulin since he did so well on PZI Vet. Is there another type that is similar to PZI. I heard of one called BCP-PZI. What would you suggest

Cat Diabetes

I already give her Dia-IonX and saw you have Arthro-IonX – is it advisable to also give her Arthro-IonX at the same time as Dia-IonX?

Feline Diabetes Treatment

My female cat of 12 years was recently diagnosed with diabetes. Some of the other lab results from the blood work also show some abnormalities (doctor did not specify). Is this product FDA approved? How long has it been on the market? I’m interested in exploring alternative type of treatments other than insulin injections. I ask only because, my cat totally trips out just visiting the vet and I couldn’t give the
injections for fear of getting hurt or injuring the cat by accident trying to
control her super frenzied behavior. I couldn’t handle the stress, let alone the cat. Has there been substantial product success in treatment of feline diabetes?

Continue Insulin for Feline Diabetes?

If you purchase Dia-IonX you still need to use insulin. Sometimes less insulin is needed as the body begins to function better so it is important that you communicate with your veterinarian so that you give the correct amount of insulin that the body needs.

Application of Derma-IonX to a Diabetic Cat

You should watch to make sure your cat doesn’t try to continually lick the area because a cat’s tongue is abrasive. Derma-IonX is usually soothing but sometimes our pets will start over-grooming if you pet them or apply something.

Dia-IonX Insulin Replacement Short Term

Dia-IonX is not a substitute for insulin. With time it can begin to help the body to heal and stabilize the diabetic condition. Some pets occasionally are able to decrease the insulin but this usually takes time.

We were amazed and so was the vet!

“We were amazed and so was the vet!”
“Hello!
I wanted to let you know that after one week of two 1/2 teaspoon doses per day, and then 5 more days of one 1/2 teaspoon dose per day, we took our cat Sophi to the vet for a blood sugar reading. She had previously been at [...]

Feline Diabetes—Kidney Disease

It would be beneficial to give Dia-IonX to your cat because it helps the enzyme systems in the body. Dia-IonX is safe to use with other medications and supplements. It helps the body to better utilize the other supplements.
